We enjoyed a fabulous opening to our literary festival on Saturday 21st July at Taunton Live. We are deeply grateful to Kit Chapman who delivered a wonderfully uplifting opening speech and to James Crowden for sharing his poem, ‘Tangier’ with us. The whole day was to promote creative writing of all genres and celebrate the written word. From author talks and readings, the poetry wall and our pop our book shop we hope everyone left feeling inspired. Our competition for 6-18 year olds is still open and we hope children enjoy the challenge and that it gets them thinking about organ donation and the ‘New Beginnings’ a transplant can lead to. We would love to repeat this next year and would welcome volunteers of all ages to join us. [if !supportLineBreakNewLine] [endif]
