This week sees Dauntsey's School's Annual Runathon, a 24 hour running event that will involve the whole school community and raise lots of money for this year's school charity: The Jemima Layzell Trust. The Jemima Layzell Trust, in loving memory of Jemima Layzell, is a local charity that aims to promote organ donation, especially in young people, and to raise funds to provide essential medical equipment for young people with brain affected conditions and brain damage.

The long run will start at 10.45am on Thursday 14th February, continue throughout the day, into the night, and finish at 10.45am on Friday 15th February. Runners can run the course alone or in pairs and we aim to have at leastone student running at any time on a 1km loop around the school grounds.

Last year, we raised over £1000 altogether, so this year we hope to run further and raise even more money! In the spirit of community and camaraderie, we hope that our students enjoy the event and that our supporters donate generously to this wonderful, life-affirming charity.
