Jemima’s mum and dad were delighted to welcome 120 guests to Monks Yard on Saturday 18th May to celebrate what would have been Jemima’s 21st birthday.

‘Harvey and I can’t express how much it means that Jemima’s name continues to live on and this year has been an amazing year for us so far.’

The Ball raised just over £10,000 (please see the bottom of the page for all our sponsors) Special thanks to all our sponsors, especially Monks Yard for accommodating us at such short notice, Magic Mirror Moments 2018 for the photos and Graham Barton for auctioneering.

Top selling items were dinner for 4 at Theo Randall Intercontinental, Park Lane, a Trip along the River Parrett in the Duchess of Cocklemoor and Poldarks very own waistcoat signed by the actor Aidan Turner. It was wonderfully mixed and varied collection, thank you for all your donations.

Guests were treated to welcome drinks in the café then a delicious three course meal in the upstairs dining room. Excellent wine selected by Vine Wines accompanied the meal, then after the auction everyone was delighted by the spectacular fireworks display.

‘We couldn’t let this landmark moment pass by without something truly special and the display by Firestorm Pyrotechnics was perfect. Beautiful and moving it had most of us in tears.’

The Layzell family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped Jemima’s legacy grow. It’s been four years since we’ve been a registered charity and it goes from strength to strength.

‘To all our family and friends, a huge thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. It is so important to us that you continue to remember our little girl.’
